|Dear Round Elementary Families and Community Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my excitement about the new year. Round Elementary has a reputation of excellence and I feel very fortunate to lead and support such a dedicated team of educational professionals and parents who are focused on children, learning, innovation and collaboration.
I have always been impressed by the long standing collaborative relationship between the school district and the community. It is my vision to create and maintain that collaborative school and community relationship. When parents, teachers, support staff and administration work together we can ensure all students acquire the education necessary to become successful lifelong learners and citizens of the 21st century. I look forward to working with the Round Elementary families, friends, and staff to create a safe, engaging environment that guarantees every child reaches their full potential.
I bring over 20 years of educational experience and leadership with me to Round. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood and a Michigan Administrator Certification from Eastern Michigan University. I am a certified Reading Recovery teacher and I have attended the week long Readers Workshop Teacher Institute, Writers Workshop Literacy Coach Institute, and Administrator Institute at Columbia University. I am excited to bring my expertise in reading and writing instruction to Round Elementary.
Round Elementary is an exciting place to learn and work. We are truly a special place and we are excited to welcome our new families and welcome back our returning families!
